Volga-Dnepr Airlines is the world leader in the specialis market of oversize and super-heavy cargo transportation.

Every year, we carry more than 60 000 tons of cargo to more than 80 countries of the world. The annual cargo turnover is more than 350 000 thousands of tonne-kilometers.

Volga-Dnepr Airlines provides the whole package of logistics services for special and oversize cargo. The airline operates a unique fleet of ramp aircraft comprising of 12 Antonov-124-100 ‘Ruslan’ and five Ilyushin-76 freighter aircraft.

Our customers include governmental and commercial organizations, including leading global businesses in the oil and gas, energy, aerospace, agriculture and telecommunications industries as well as the humanitarian and emergency services sectors.

Since 2002, Volga-Dnepr’s quality management system has followed ISO 9001:2000 standards. Volga-Dnepr is a member of The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA).

In February 2001, Volga-Dnepr was presented with a top cargo award by the leading air transport magazine, Air Transport World’.

In February 2003, the airline was honored with another prestigious award, this time from Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine in the category ‘Commercial Air Transport’. 

In March 2010, according to the results of an annual poll by Air Cargo World magazine into the quality of airline cargo services, Volga-Dnepr Airlines was awarded an Air Cargo Award for Excellence.

In October 2011, Volga-Dnepr Airlines was voted ‘Best Cargo Charter Airline’ by the members of the highly respected Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) and received the trophy at the BACA Excellence Awards in London


Volga-Dnepr Airlines is a key player in the ‘Cargo Supermarket’ strategy developed by Volga-Dnepr Group. This concept unites the charter transportation capabilities of the Group’s ramp aircraft, the regular cargo services using its fleet of Boeing 747 freighters, and Boeing 737 aircraft for smaller cargo movements – enabling the Group to satisfy its customers’ requirements in the fastest and most cost efficient way. The fleet capability is further enhanced by the provision of end-to-end support services by the airline’s Enigeering & Logistics
